GENERAL ANSWERS

1. You purchase a single PC Licence and the only further outlay you can have is
A) If you require a second licence for another PC (for your own use) this is at a reduced rate.
B) if you are a user who likes to reformat your hard drive regularly or swap PC's regularly there is a one off administration fee of £25 that covers you for as many swaps or registrations as you require. No ongoing fees just a one off purchase price. (top)

2. Providing the refresh speed is kept to 250 milliseconds no charges would be incurred. That is providing you are not using multiple other Betfair products at the same time. (top)

3. The minimum PC specs we recommend are quite standard on most modern PC's, we recommend a 2Ghz processor speed, windows 98/2000/XP operating system and at least 1MB Broadband Connection. (top)

4. The preferred method of payment is by Paypal and once the transaction is complete you are directed to a download page where you get instant access to your software. (top)

5. NO, we do not believe in the need to access your Login details they are personal and should remain so in our opinion. (top)

6. Simply copy your paypal receipt and use the contact us page to let us know which software you require and we will deal with the matter as soon as we possibly can. (top)

7. The software license you purchase is a single PC license and so to run an additional copy of the software would require you to purchase a second license, this is at a reduced rate. The second license only applies to clients who have already purchased a full license and the software is for their own personal use. (top)

BET-IE ANSWERS

1. The message regarding the download files being corrupt normally occurs only if multiple users are downloading at the same time, simply wait a few seconds and retry the download. If you have persistent problems then please do use the contact us page and let us know your problem and we can address the matter as soon as possible. (top)

2. The overflow error is simply because your code is too long, if you receive this message simply use the contact us page and let us know which software you need to register and what your paypal transaction ID code is and we can activate the program for you. (top)

3. The main culprit for this error message is security software remember the software is self updating and self registering because of this we need to use a file named NewBetty.dll this file needs granting full internet access through your security software as does the Bet-IEv2.exe file. Once granted permission correctly in your security settings the software will work without issue. (top)

4. The problem could be in the decimal symbol setting of your PC, Bet-IE by default is programmed to UK settings. The decimal symbol Bet-IE needs to read is a (.) full stop or point. In some areas of the world the decimal symbol is a (,) comma and Bet-IE does not read the values behind a comma so to adjust this is simple. Navigate to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > click the CUSTOMIZE button > under the numbers tab you will see Decimal Symbol simply make sure this is a (.) full stop or point APPLY and OK to save your adjustment.

Another issue could be your minimum stakes setting, as I have explained the software is programmed by default to UK settings and the minimum stake in the UK is £2. Now every country will have their own Betfair minimum stake and your software needs setting up to reflect the minimum stake from your country of residence. So if my minimum stake was €4 I would need to adjust Bet-IE so the minimum stake reads 4 and not 2. To do this simply click 'settings' and then click the Minimum Stake box and adjust your value to 4 or whatever your local Betfair minimum stake value is. (top)

5. Australian users need to be aware that they need to have a positive balance in both Betfair wallets, UK Wallet and Aus Wallet. If I was looking to bet on Australian races I would just leave $1 in the UK Wallet and have the balance in the Australian wallet. Both wallets need a positive balance to place bets. (top)

6. When you turn OFF Learning Mode and look to enter bets from the live market you need to turn OFF 'TEST BETS' that appears just to the right of the Learning Mode check box. The Test Bets function is used to test bets are being fired to the Betfair servers and also is used to request your own prices for Dutching. (top)

7. Firstly check that your MARKET refresh button is turned on, if it is click on 'settings' and check that your refresh speed is set to 1000 milliseconds. (top)

8. Normally with the trigger you find 2 common problems, the first problem is that the SAFETY has not been turned OFF. The second common problem is that the spread % between back and lay odds is not great enough and so the odds are bypassed, so just extend the spread % a little more. (top)

9. When you use the trading function you will see above the back and lay columns an auto hedge box. To green up your position open the first part of your trade from the ladder as normally and close the trade using the open side of the trades Auto Hedge box. So if I was looking to Back then Lay I would open the trade on the ladder by clicking the Blue odds to lock in the back bet and when ready to close out I just click the Pink (or Lay) Auto Hedge box. (top)

10. If your bets are not showing in My Bets simply click the REFRESH button just below the Betfair login button on the right of the interface. (top)

11. An unmatched bet shows in the My Bets area of the screen with a small checkbox next to its name to cancel an unmatched bet simply place a check in the box and click MODIFY/SUBMIT (top)

12. The Ratings are built into the software to access the ratings simply click HELP and then RATINGS FOR UK HORSE RACING a pop up window will appear and the Ratings are within the page. (top)

13. Yes you can! Betfair recently changed the rules so that to get Live odds you must login to your Betfair account. Simply login to Betfair and just below the BACK button make sure LEARNING MODE is ON. No bets will be sent through to Betfair but will be recorded by the software. (top)

14. Yes you can play exchange games using Bet-IE there can be a few issues from time to time with X-Games as the servers are being moved constantly by Betfair we do of course make the Games available again as soon as possible. (top)

LAZ-IE TRADER ANSWERS

1. Yes you can still use Laz-IE Trader, you get a version of Bet-IE called Bet-IE LITE included in the Viewer options list just download from there and the Laz-IE software will be activated when Bet-IE LITE is started, in case of problems try rebooting the PC and if that doesn't work use the contact us page and quote both the VIEWER code and the BET-IE LITE code and we will try and help as soon as possible. (top)

2. If you cannot view the videos it is possible that your Flash Player needs reinstalling, this may sound a little daunting but its quite easy to do.
First we need to remove the Flash Player that's installed CLICK HERE
Once that is carried out we simply reinstall the latest Flash Player CLICK HERE.
The videos should now play.
(top)

3. Check your Minimum Stakes is set to the correct Value for your country in the Bet-IE SETTINGS area, also check that your decimal symbol is set to a (.) full stop or point and not a (,) comma (see Bet-IE help 4 above) (top)

4. Using Laz-IE you can simply use the Laz-IE Bet Button this automatically adjusts the staking and greens up as you go. Or you can use the NEW auto hedge feature, to use this you simply open a trade position lets say a Back bet on the ladder and close out when your ready by clicking the LAY or PINK auto hedge box. To Lay then back we simply reverse the process, click the LAY odds on the ladder to enter the bet and when ready to close out simply click the BACK or BLUE auto hedge box. Remember to green up you need both sides of a trade balanced so back and lay in place. (top)

5. The Volume of Money % figures are the main criteria to watch for initial alerts to trade, the figures work inline with our private 'tissue' or pricing up of the event. If the Volume of Money figure is GROWING and the Money Meter indicates a mainly pink meter then the odds should shorten. Just as if the Volume of Money % figure is reducing and the money meter indicates mainly BLUE the odds should drift. (top)

6. The issue of a virus alert or Trojan alert is simply down to the files not being given the correct permissions in your anti virus software, the software is perfectly clean and safe these alerts are heuristic alerts and false. The NewBPSViewer.dll file needs granting full internet access to allow the manual and software to be used, this file automatically sets up the software and checks for updates and if required installs automatically for you. Please consult your security software Help files for allowing permissions of files to run within the security software. (top)

VALUE HORSE FINDER ANSWERS

1. If you receive an expired message simply copy the code in full and use the contact us page. Forward the code, the name of the software and your full name for registration. (top)

2. You need a Betfair account to start with. Obviously the more bookmaker accounts you have available from the Oddschecker/Racing Post Betting Shop sites you have the more flexibility you have to achieve your Arbs. However as a starting point you could use just a few bookmaker accounts maybe Ladbrokes, Bet 365 and Stan James. (top)

3. Sadly there are circumstances that a loss can occur when using the arbitrage trades, however with a little check of the market before rushing in to place a bet the loss can be avoided. The main problem is a non runner reduces the bookmakers place payout to say 2 places and Betfair honour the original 3 places. This can leave you in a position of a Full liability for the Lay. however with a little thoughtful planning you can virtually eliminate this risk.
We would recommend not using markets too early in the day, as most non runners are taken out mid morning or on sudden changes of going so by delaying your starting position you eliminate the non runner risk. Also don't use markets that are right on the place borderline so 5 runners (this applies to 2 places), 8 runners (this applies to 3 places) or 16 runners in a handicap (this applies to 4 places) as these are usually the markets that you find have non runners and can affect your trades. Try where possible to leave your use of the software until the last 1/2 hour before the race starts, this helps with your non runners position and also the markets have a chance to have greater liquidity. (top)

4. In the Analysis screen of the software you can manually input the position you find yourself in and you can then reassess your position to trade out with the best outcome for your bank. (top)

5. Unfortunately this question is impossible to answer as every market is totally unique and positions develop regularly but its impossible to place a number on. All we can say is there are many positions available week in week out. (top)

6. Yes in the data pane at the top of the software the arbitrage positions are highlighted Red and Blue the Blue bar indicates a Win arbitrage is available. To take advantage of this just place a straight win bet with the bookmaker (not an EW bet) and then place a win Lay bet on Betfair (no need for the place Lay). (top)

7. The software works only the UK Horse Racing markets at the moment. (top)

8. No the software does all the calculations and staking for you, leaving you to click through and place the bookmakers bet and then use the instant bet submission for Betfair's win and lay markets. (top)

9. The software is extremely profitable, however the profits are directly linked to the Return On Investment Data and this is unique to every market. We recommend a starting point of 4% as your trigger to place a bet and then use the betting variables to squeeze every drop of profit out of the trade. Or simply use the unique EW alert and place just the Each Way bet with the bookmaker knowing the Value is clearly in your favour. (top)

10. The scanner can become grayed out from time to time due to the Betfair server 'sticking' so all you need to do is click HELP and reselect the Betfair URL of your choice and wait for the Betfair screen to load and the scanner option should then become visible. (top)

BET-IE TRADER ANSWERS

1. This is simply the software needing registering if you go to the contact us page and copy the displayed code in full together with your name and the software you are registering. We will activate the software as soon as possible and notify you when your software is registered and ready for use.

2. Yes of course you can, using the Bet-IE Trader once the Learning Mode is activated a new window displays and that has the data of the trades and current positions displayed.

3. The problem could be in the decimal symbol setting of your PC, Bet-IE Trader by default is programmed to UK settings. The decimal symbol Bet-IE Trader needs to read is a (.) full stop or point.

Now every country will have their own Betfair minimum stake and your software needs adjusting to reflect the minimum stake from your country of residence. So if my minimum stake was €4 I would need to adjust the Bet-IE Trader so the minimum stake reads 4 and not 2. To do this simply click 'settings' and then click the Minimum Stake box and adjust your value to 4 or whatever your local Betfair minimum stake value is. (top)
